One day primer, Dubai, UAE
The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) and the International Association of Financial Management (INTERFIMA) presented last February a one day intensive workshop on Relationship Management and Banking. The workshop, reference to INTERFIMA's CWMS, was presented to a professional delegation of thirty-three (33) individuals coming from local and international banks such as EmiratesNBD Bank, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Bank Melli, Barclays, etc.
Both organizations have expressed their intention to work closely for future courses and workshops.

Financial Market Professional Networking Event
INTERFIMA successfully presented on November the 29th in Athens, a networking event for professionals in the financial services, associated to its recently awarded CWMS EQF Level 4 program. Certified Underwriting Specialist, presented last week

Round One Ends
INTERFIMA as a proud supporter of the ModelOff 2012 global competition would like to share with its community the following; Now that Round 1 got completed, attention moves to Round 2 and the live Finals event in New York on December 1st.
Major Points from Round 1
- Everyone was really happy with the Modeloff platform (powered by the experienced Interviewstreet team).
- Most people were happy with the Round 1 questions. Almost unanimous that it was great mixing DCF, Advanced Excel skills, Practical and Theory and Excel Data.
- Everyone was really pushed for time (only 120 minutes).
- Out of total of 85 marks - highest in the world achieved 75/85. Average of Top 200 was 45/85 (The competition was tough - it is the Financial Modelling World Championship!)
- As speed was essential - we saw a large number of high performers were younger - "Super IB Analysts", "Finance Managers" and young professionals from mid-market Advisory firms (e.g. Infrastructure, Credit, M&A)

Executive program delivered in Tanzania
INTERFIMA is proud to announce the successful delivery of a training program presented last week in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The program, focusing in Compliance for financial institutions and banking, received extremely positive feedback from participants who engaged in a five day executive program around latest developments and updates in the world of regulatory and operational compliance.
INTERFIMA managed to address the request, by satisfying all requirements set by the client, in a very short noticed and everyone associated with this training feels extremely happy with the returning results. CWMS Award receives EU clearance
The International Association of Financial Management (INTERFIMA) is extremely pleased to announce that since of today our Certified Wealth Management Specialist (CWMS) program has received a clearance for an EQF/MQF level 4 status.
The process was concluded successfuly for the organization and furthermore for the professionals that decide to register, follow and complete the specific program. CWMS targets financial professionals such as investment advisors, financial planners, financial consultants, insurance agents, relationship managers in general and would work from now on as a professional qualification within the EU boundaries.
Matches to the EQF/MQF across the various jurisdictions can be found below.

In addition, CWMS features also on FINRA's (Financial Industry's Regulatory Authority) website (see link) as one of the available programs, designations suitable for the professional community that focuses on financial advisory and planning.

The International Association of Financial Management (INTERFIMA) and the International Compliance Association (ICA) agreed mutual recognition and exemption criteria on qualifications in the field of Anti Money Laundering and Compliance.
INTERFIMA CCO and CAMO holders will be eligible for direct entry into the ICA/University of Manchester International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering or Compliance programmes (see www.int-comp.org).
The CCO and CAMO courses are deemed equivalent to the ICA Advanced Certificate in Compliance an Financial Crime Prevention.
The ICA Diplomas can be taken by distance learning or at face-to-face centres globally.” In other words INTERFIMA's 3-4 days Certified Compliance Officer and Certified Anti Money Laundering Officer programs will be regarded as equivalent to ICA's 6 month Compliance/AML training program, currently running for the British Bankers Association.
In addition to that INTERFIMA and ICA have agreed to design and deliver joint master class programs in subjects such as "Advanced Financial Crime Prevention Strategies" and " Compliance as a Source of Competitive Advantage"
